Students sitting around a table. The Teaching Tools section of the Genetic Counseling Cultural Competence Toolkit includes materials to enhance learning and instruction on cultural self-awareness and diversity. These resources may be of particular use for students and graduate training programs in genetic counseling. Of course, we encourage all toolkit users to peruse these resources and identify uses for them! Our project team developed an extensive annotated bibliography. In addition, we obtained permission to post several additional bibliographies compiled by national experts in genetic counseling, cultural competence, and health literacy (Drs. Jon Weil, Robert Like and Sandra Cornett). The collegiality of these leaders has been remarkable. We thank each of them for sharing the results of their extensive efforts with the genetic counseling community through the GCCCT. The Teaching Tools section of the toolkit also includes lecture materials on health disparities and health literacy.
